Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet belongs to a group of medicine called anti-thyroid agents. It is used in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. It reduces the amount of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland.
You should take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. But, before taking it report to doctor if you have any known allergy to this medication. Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to check the levels of blood cells in your blood. Remember to inform doctor if you experience unexplained bleeding, fever, or general illness. Your doctor may advice for monitoring of liver function.
It may cause skin rash, headache, paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation) and hair loss as its side effects.

What if you forget to take Neo-Mercazole Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

- It may affect the level of blood cells in your blood. Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms such as unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, fever, or general illness.
- Stop taking Neo-Mercazole 20 Tablet and Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms of liver damage such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, darkened urine, or yellowing of the eyes or skin.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
